When you register with Forbes Health Group, we allocate one hour for your initial appointment, at a cost of £120.
We deliberately allow this time so that we can properly understand your concerns, assess your feet and lower limbs, and develop an appropriate plan of care. Your first appointment is much more than simply treating the immediate problem.
Your comprehensive assessment includes:
- A detailed assessment of your feet and lower legs
- Vascular assessment to assess circulation
- Neurological assessment to assess sensation and nerve function
- Examination of the skin, including any lesions or areas of concern
- Assessment of your current foot-care needs
- Discussion of any symptoms, concerns or difficulties you may be experiencing
Once we have established your concerns and completed our assessment, treatment can be carried out where appropriate.
A Treatment Plan Designed Around You
Following your assessment, we will formulate a treatment plan based on your individual needs.
We will discuss both short-term and long-term treatment options, giving you a clear understanding of what we recommend and why.
Our aim is not simply to provide treatment on the day. We want you to understand your foot health and, wherever possible, take a preventative approach to maintaining it.
This means considering what your feet need now, as well as what may help you avoid problems in the future.

We prefer to provide foot care on a preventative rather than reactive basis.

Regular appointments also allow us to become familiar with your individual needs and monitor changes over time. Priority Access for Regular Patients
We carefully manage the number of patients on our caseload. This allows us to provide a more consistent service and maintain appropriate access for our existing patients.
As a regular Forbes Health Group patient, you will therefore have priority access to our service.
We believe this is an important part of providing high-quality ongoing care. By managing our caseload effectively, we can focus on the patients we look after and provide continuity rather than simply increasing the number of appointments available.
Our Follow-Up Appointment Fees
Following your initial registration, our follow-up appointment fees are based on the length of time since your previous appointment:

We encourage patients to maintain regular appointments, ideally at least annually, as this supports our preventative approach to foot health.
Keeping Your Registration Active
To continue providing a consistent and preventative service, we ask patients to remain engaged with their foot care.
If you have not attended an appointment for 18 months, you will be discharged from our active patient list and will need to re-register should you wish to return.
This approach enables us to manage our caseload responsibly and ensure that our available appointments are prioritised for patients who are actively engaging with their care.
